Still images as the storm made landfall. Landfall was officially at Sewall's Point near Stuart at 1am on Sunday September 5, 2004. Winds were 105mph at landfall, although much stronger gusts were reported.

Al Roker, weatherman from the Today Show, dropped by to help us out during Hurricane Frances. He was here to cover Frances for the NBC network, saw our coverage from his hotel room, and wanted to help out. He worked through Saturday afternoon, and came back on Sunday morning with Dean.

Steve's house took a hit from a tree. Minor damage compared to others in the area.
Steve's wife rode out the storm in a townhouse. This is Sandlewood in Palm Beach Gardens. The shake shingles have peeled away, leaving only a drywall layer protecting her and her friends. The townhouse suffered tremendous water damage. This townhouse was built before new building codes took effect.
